Jessica discovered Pilates in 2011 when she was looking for a complement to her newfound running habit. Five years later – feeling stronger and moving better than ever! – she entered Pilates Sports Center’s teacher training program and never looked back. Since earning her original Pilates instructor certificate in 2017, Jessica has continued to study with experts in Pilates and movement. Jessica is an Advanced Buff Bones ® instructor, completed Balanced Body’s CoreAlign® teacher training, and has attended numerous seminars on exercise and biomechanics through Shary Berkowitz’s The Vertical Workshop.
Jessica began her exploration of Pilates-based exercises for scoliosis in March of 2020 and became an Authorized Scolio-Pilates Practitioner in September 2021. During that time, she has worked with clients ranging in age from 13 to 89, fused and unfused, and possessing a wide variety of related orthopedic or neurological conditions. She has yet to find a spine that doesn’t feel and move better after beginning Scolio-Pilates® exercises and loves the challenge that comes with each unique set of curves.
Jessica holds degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When she’s not in the studio, she enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage son, supporting Louisville’s professional soccer teams, hiking, running, and cooking.
Authorized Scolio-Pilates Instructor since September 2021.
