Pelvic Precision Wedge in Vinyl
The process of creating the Pelvic Precision Wedge began with my trying to assist a client with disabled hip flexors. I attempted physically holding her legs up myself. Since that solution was too difficult to maintain, next, I used a very large wedge that I had lying around the studio. I inserted it under her hips. The wedge lifted her hips up high enough so that their knees dropped towards her chest with gravity. That worked well but it was too big and bulky to be used on the equipment and too wide to allow for arm movement. Because I’m no stranger to making pillows to solve a problem, that’s what I did. After testing sizes and foam densities the product was introduced to the studio. Having a client with disabled hip flexors is rare but a client with weak hip flexors, or even hyper-lordosis, is common. So we used the Pelvic Precision Wedge with them with great results.
After a lot of trial and error, I knew we had found the solution when our clients wanted to take them home. But not only did they take them home. they were carrying them everywhere they went! Clients arrived at the studio, carrying their own Pelvic Precision Wedge. They took it to their physical therapy appointments. And they were taking the Pelvic Precision Wedge on vacation to make their home exercise program more effective.
