As fitness and movement professionals, it is crucial to understand how to support pregnant clients with scoliosis. By addressing postural patterns, making scoliosis-specific adjustments, and incorporating safe movement practices, we can help expecting mothers navigate pregnancy more easily.

Understanding the interaction between scoliosis and pregnancy starts with looking at postural alignment, breathing patterns, and core function. The growing belly shifts posture, affecting the head, shoulders, thoracic spine, rib cage, pelvis, and lower extremities. These changes, combined with the natural curves of scoliosis, can create unique movement challenges—but also opportunities for increased body awareness and strength.
