May 4th Class 112: Spring on the Ball
Today’s class will feature freedom of movement and ease of spine corrections by using a large exercise ball. We’ll sit on the ball to help us make corrections in the hips and the lower back. Then we’ll use the ball as a stabilizing force to strengthen shoulders and spine. Ready for even more stability and standing? We’ll use it with our box against the wall! Join us for a ball.
May 11th Class 113: Spring through the Chair
In this class you’ll need a nice sturdy chair. A kitchen chair will be perfect. One with a low back will be even better. We’ll start the class with some core stability as we lean side to side and wake up the muscles that sometimes are dormant hiding in the hollows of our curves. Next, we’ll move to standing for an elongation, using the weight of the chair to lengthen our spines. But never fear, there’s more in store for our class of Scalia Pilates on the chair.
May 18th Class 114: Spring on the K Wedge
We will spring our spines into elongation using the K wedge, and elongation with just enough inversion to open up the spaces of our spine. With this elongation, we can breathe and strengthen the correction of our curves. We will add resistance training with bands and our own body weight. Do you have the K-fit wedge? It will be perfect for this class! You don’t have any of the K wedges yet? Don’t worry, join us anyway, and bring along two beach towels. We’ve got you covered!
May 25th Class 115: Oh Spring with Scalia Wedges
In this class will go over the placement of your Scalia wedges. Where do they go? How far underneath the spine do they go? Do they fill in the hollows? Or do you rotate the sand dune? There is so much to learn today! Bring your Scalia wedges or three washcloths and let’s flow into spring with Scolio wedges.
